    Well perhaps it is just to understand the game better.
    One very good way to do that is by playing stronger players, but not so much stronger that you don’t understand what they are doing. 200-300 rating points above your own rating is a good range.

    I set for 50 below me as min with no max in open invites. Maybe I will set some 100 to 30p points above me.
