why are the first 10 or so pages in random order and pages 11 onwards in alphabetical order?

Maybe the most recent are chronological and the rest are alphabetical? Can't say I had noticed that to be honest.

Edit: If you go back far enough (page 44 did it for me) randomness resumes. As far as i can see there are about 34 pages of guys banned 26 days ago.

pure coincidence. just like certain players here scoring consistently higher matchup rates than fischer or any of the other greats.
