Black got greedy moving the bishop a second time just to pin the knight. He would have lost another move with the bishop to save the game.

True. Moving a piece twice in the opening generally not good and typically a waste. Bf5 to Bg4 seemed a waste and black should have instead developed another piece (Md7 maybe), or I maybe in this case moved e6, or the characteristic c6. Though I haven't looked closely at the position, but just know I agree with you on the double move of the bishop seems weak.
