Well I've made one of the silliest mistakes for a chess player to make, in other words, not play for a while properly.
It seems now i've even gone as far as to forget one of the easiest to remember lines in the BDG.
White has just played the move Ne5
I remember that white has a definite win from this position, or at least a big material advantage, but everytime i go through this position agains the computer i seem to always end up having a queen and a piece vs two rooks and a piece, a pawn down, and having no attack to really compensate for it
who can help me out here with the analysis?
EDIT: also i'm tired and i just realised i spelt the name wrong 😳
Originally posted by banx996. cxd3 is definitely better. Black cannot really avoid queen loss anyway due to the mate threats.
The line that i usually follow is:
1. ... Nxe5
2. Rxf6 Qxd4+
3. Kh1 Bxg2+
4. Kxg2 Qg4+
5. Kh1 Nxd3
6. Rg1 Qxg1
7. Kxg1 Bxf6
8. either cxd or Qxf6
I'm sure that i used to be able to play this position out for a direct win, but i've forgotten.
Help me please!!
EDIT: ending position
[fen]r4rk1/p1p2p2/1p2pb1Q/8/8/2Nn4/PPP4P/6K1 w - - 0 20[/fen]
6. cxd3 Bxf6 7. Qxf6 Rad8 or Rfd8 and here 8. Rg1 Qxg1+ 9. Kxg1 when black is lost after Ne4 next move followed by Qg5 or Qh6 and Ng5/Nf6(+).
