Here is some advice I received from a high rated player at an OTB tourney. "If your opponent offers a draw and you cannot find a clear win, take the draw." I think you may have had a chance to win but it would not be easy.

Why you actually offered a draw ? You could have exchanged queens and then move your pawns forward....
I agree that the advice to take the draw unless you see a clear win is awful. Sit down at the board and you don't have a clear win, you wouldn't just accept the draw then would you?
