I think "lu"is short for "Hallo"
and "ca va" means "How are you doing" or "How are you"

You could answer:
Hallo Hello
Je ne parle pas Francais > I don't speak French.

Je va trés bien, merci. > I'm fine, Thank you.

You could ask on the General Forum for French guys to respond.Maybe they can help you ?
I know there are French citicens on RHP who speak English.
Maybe it's worth a try.

Oh, geesh! It's bad enough I would like to learn Spanish... Now French. Took both in school, but that was almost 20 years ago now... Thanx for the tip... He seems to come online every Sunday.
