We have ice hockey and hockey. Ice hockey is played on ice, which is frozen water. Hockey is played on grass which is a type of herbaceous plant with narrow leaves growing from its base.

Fine, so what is the name of the league of your hockey team that plays on ice? I am not all that interested in field hockey which is played here too, but not as big a draw as Hockey played on ice.
