Year before last I was on holiday in Greece.

On the pool terrace there was a dead Cicada being transported by an army of large black ants taking it to their festival of munching doom.

I watched in awe, pausing only to get a beer from the fridge.

In fact there is a funny story: When I was in London with my eldest son in 2007 it was not easy to get English Beer. We were more often offered Australian or US brands (and of course European ones).

This is still true in regards to lager but there has always been plenty of English ales, even more so these days. And cider now seems to come in every flavour imaginable.

If you asked for Beer most if not all would be british brewed but if it was a Lager beer that would be different all lagers were introduced to the uk from the continent or usa there were back then few british lagers.
