If it helps, I take my skin off when eating sherry trifle.
That is the stuff of nightmares.

I will not sleep tonight.

Sorry to hear that sir. I frequently eat sugar 'on' my dairy.
Sugar gives you wrinkles.

...

I'm sorry I'm such a food nazi, I really am. You just feel so much better when you don't eat it. Your body stops wanting it after a few weeks anyway.

Bitter should be served at "cellar temperature". (about 12C)
Dark beers, stouts slightly warmer.
Should be? I have seen innumerable tepid beers sold to my friends in UK pubs. That's reality.

I more accurately should have said, "back away from insulting the trifle.'
Your insults too are perfectly safe in my proximity.

Really?? Gosh. Why did they keep telling me "last orders"? I was only just getting started rearranging the furniture by then.

I, like you, don't live in the UK anymore. I haven't for a couple of years but I will return at some stage in the near future.

I visited my family in Northern Ireland last July, and everything was fine. London was fine too. In fact, the whole country seems really fine. The sky has not fallen in at all and most people who live there have moved on.

I don't want to debate you in the general forum. Just giving you my perception of it.
You visited Northern Ireland and somewhere in London. Both places looked fine to you so you conclude that the whole is looking fine.๐Ÿ™„
You will make a very good tory politician if your plan works out.

Try it without the shades,man.
In January I visited 3 towns in the Midlands. All 3 were looking dirty and run down. There were a lot of shops that were closed down or run by charities.I know these towns for years and they ALL are looking very shabby compared to ,say,20years ago.
Sorry to be a nuisance. ๐Ÿ˜€

Brexit, of course, didn't happen 20 years ago.
