@very-rusty saidthe people don't vote for king
goad who do you think the people of England want to see as king? Charles or William? Do you not think Charles isn't aware of this?

and I don't think charles cares what the people want
@lemondrop saidThat’s why the UK Monarch has no direct power.

@lemondrop saidDoesn't care what the people want, yes Charles sounds like he would make a fine king (sarcasm)

William and Kate seem to have a connection with the people that Charles doesn't have.

Probably best just to go straight to William.
A lot of work is needed when they change who is on the throne.
For example...money needs to change the pictures.
Coins are already drawing up new images so why do all of the work for Charles and then in a few years or less you have to do it all over again for William.
The smart way would be to go straight to William.
What is it called when someone refuses or gives up the throne?
Charles should do that.

@torunn saidI have to agree with you there. There’s nothing worse than having a busy day ahead and struggling to sleep while the person beside you is snoring contentedly.
Elderly couples, and even younger, prefer separate bedrooms and sometimes separate living. I would too. It has nothing to do with love, just comfort and consideration.
Edit: I need to correct myself here, I should have said: It doesn't necessarily have to do with love or not - I can't answer for other people, it's just my observations.
@drewnogal saidStill complaining about our date?

Well I had fun and I'm sorry I puked on you but it is what it is π
@drewnogal saidIt might be a good idea to have that person checked for a sleeping disorder. Many people have them.

You get a test done and a C-pap machine may be required.

@very-rusty saidThose are noisier than the occasional snoring.

@drewnogal saidToday's machines are very quiet. A sleep disorder can be dangerous and can kill the person. Snoring is a sign they may have a sleeping disorder but the test at least here in Canada doesn't cost anything the machine though is expensive for the average person around 2,300. Some insurances cover part of the cost.

@drewnogal saidThey are very noisy and they smell.

Like plastic and oxygen at the hospital.

@drewnogal saidThat is absolutely true. We need some privacy even in close relationships. Some people want to read in bed until late, others prefer having early nights and early mornings, and snoring... yes, even breathing can be noisy. And when we need each other, we know where to find each other.

Well ... that’s where I’d put someone like VM.
