@ponderable saidI’ll join you for a coffee and disturb your peace if you don’t mind? I must tell you that Chemistry was one of my best subjects at school when I was 12 but I had to decide between continuing with that or art for my O’Levels.
It seems that the tavern has most Business when I am not there. I will have a coffee and sit in the corner...
@drewnogal saidFeel free to join me.

So we lost a chemist and won an Artist? I found that most puils found chemistry not to their liking, what was it that drew you to it?
@ponderable saidThe chem lab in our girls grammar school was a most unusual place, very intriguing with it’s large old tables with fitted bunsen burners and strange smells, like a place out of a Harry Potter movie. I found it quite exciting that we were allowed, even trusted to do experiments. I remember making blue copper sulphate 😮 Our chem teacher was very relaxed, we called him Tubby Testube. He had a pointed sort of nose and spoke of pungent smells and once told us that if we were to put our fingers into H2SO4 that the first thing we would notice is that our skin would start to feel very smooth 😀
Feel free to join me.

I’d never have made it as a chemist though, nowhere near clever enough but do have a nephew who is one.
@drewnogal saidOK,OK. Enough of the trip down memory lane. Here, Cheesewhatever, are a couple of pickled eggs for a starter but there are others here who enjoy them too. Don't be such a hog. Coffee's in the corner for Drew and Pondy, right?

I would like to try a Croque Monsieur - rumour has it that it's a specialty here.
@great-big-stees saidThat will make my day. 🙂
