NO -3.5... + 14.5 with cleve, +13.5 with detr and + 10.5 with stls.

Incredulous, in my opinion, that Denver is holding at +4.5 dog.

I assume you're playing the spreads with your picks?

I got the following dogs this week (straightup, no spreads): Giants, Chiefs, Cards, Bears and Broncos

Very nice spread for St. Louis.

Off the top of my head, the only reason I can see for Denver getting 4.5 is San Diego coming off the bye, and even that's a stretch. I didn't see anything on the injury reports.

The Chargers have won six straight against the Broncos.

True. But they also look very ordinary so far bthis season, while everything is going right for Denver. Not saying the streak's not a factor, but I still wouldn't expect a line higher than 3.5.

Without attempting to provide the entire rationale on the spot, let me suggest that Denver's point spread coverage = +58.5 in 2009

versus ending 2008. Over coverage = performance improvement and lag in bettor perception. SD's 2009 to date track record = -14.

Oh, I agree the line is ridiculous. I would lock up Denver this week as that D is gonna have a hard on to shut down the Charger offense after last year's embarrassing defeat at the end of the year.

Yes, with point spread coverage. Straight up is a challenge with dogs,

though I like Denver and would think Giants and Bears have a shot.

SD has been a big letdown so far this year but at some point they will turn it around. Too much talent not to. Key is when. Last year, it was around Week 8.

You're probably right. Pendulum keeps swinging, within and between

seasons. Bear in mind that Denver was the disappointment in 2008.

Sure you do. Everybody's looking for action. Last time we heard that undercover line, about two years ago,

Sammy Scarface got an unexpected 6-10 year vacation at the Federal Supermax Prison in Florence CO.
