1. Why is talking with someone who will listen (in person, on the phone

(including eating, working or sleeping) in the course of a 24 hour day?

2. What purposes does silence serve on the internet?

3. Of RHP's many active public forum posters who have disappeared, why do we remember some yet not others?

4. What would your daily life be like without the internet and Red Hot Pawn (beginning tomorrow, September 6, 2013)?

5. In your observation and experience, what are the crux personal issues and social factors that cause loneliness?

6. When was the last time you invited someone to join Red Hot Pawn
and your efforts resulted in a new member who's still here?

7. Is it true that you do what you are on the internet without realizing it? ("Along Came a Spider" line paraphrased)

#6: Around 2005 or 2006. Don't know if he's still here or not.

#3: I believe we remember those who were our friends, those whose posts we enjoyed, and those who drove us nuts the most. Those would be the people who stood out the most and thus the most memorable.

#4: More free time. I've had internet-free periods. The only problem is that I need the internet to do my job sometimes, and that's when its loss is a burden.

#5 is very complicated. People are lonely when they think they don't matter. They can participate in things (events, clubs, service projects, etc.) but still not feel a connection with the other people involved, or think that they are negligible to the other participants (I'm thinking live participation, not cyber).

11. Does anyone remember Red Night's Annual 9/11 Thread in Red Hot Pawn's General Forum?
Last update was one year ago to the day. Red, where art thou? Here's a link to his thread:
