I want Black Friday to be televised, just like the Hunger Games.

Have to admit, i prefer this to the 'black Saturday' we have here.

This looks like something we used to have in the 1960s, when one local department store bought lots of stuff from receivers and had a real quarter-price sale. Haven't seen it here for decades, can't imagine that anyone's still doing it, but it seems that not everyone has arrived in the 21st century.
"Black Friday: When people trample others for cheap goods mere hours after being thankful for what they already have."
They're not my words, I'd have said "Black Friday: the triumph of stupidity and greed over millennia of civilisation and intelligence."

TBH it look like any regular 'Boxing Day' sales but the media aren't to hunger over to cover it.

The more time I spend around human beings, the better I like my dog.

Mark Twain said something similar to that, and he had it exactly right.

I think we should really do a show like that hunger game, death race, running man combined. Use prisoners on death row.

Hello guys!

To tell the truth is not Friday anymore. I work for a retailer and it opened on Thanks giving night (8 p.m.) and the employees had to be at the store at 6 p.m. to have it ready for the customers.

These stores think that the one that opens first is going to sell more.
The employees only are paid one and a half on Thanks giving.
For the people working on black Friday, the pay is the same unless they say something different. Some times they have free food for the employees (pizza, anyone?).

It's interesting that now a part of the sales has moved to Thanks giving and Black Friday sales are smaller than in previous years.

I think many of us would rather to buy online. I was lucky this year and I was off on Thanks Giving and Black Friday.
