My jeans were larger in the waist area; it is disappointing how clothing manufacturers try to cut costs by reducing material.I remember when one bought Levi jeans they were like cardboard, and had a distinctive and not unpleasant smell. And they shrunk in the wash and the colour leached out for a bit. And then they lasted 5 years of whatever one threw at them.
Edit: And only blue, none of these fancy colours!

Much cheaper than todays pampers, only a lot more work to them and much more messy.

-VRBack in those days, pin pricks were part and parcel of learning just how to get them to stay on.
