Republicans say: "We must get rid of Obamacare. Obamacare is evil. Obamacare is horrible. Obamacare is socialist. "etc. etc.etc. It's interesting that the GOP is so very much against Obamacare, yet they offer no details on what they plan to replace it with. A classic example is the latest comments made by GOP frontrunner Donald Trump who states proudly: “We’re going to work with our hospitals, we’re going to work with our doctors,” Trump said. “We’ve got to do something. You can’t have a small percentage of our economy — because they’re down and out — have absolutely no protection so they end up dying.” So...what exactly does this mean?? Does Trump (or any of the other GOP candidates) have anything more to offer than vaguely worded statements like this? Do they have a detailed plan of their own? If so, what is it? People's lives are hanging in the balance here.

Unlike anybody in the GOP, Bernie has a plan that contains something to replace it with.

Here is a plan for ya, don't force everyone to buy into your super duper plan. If it's so super duper, people should want it

Of course, you hate freedom, you're a lib

You've not heard Trump talking about his version of Obamacare? I call it Trumpcare.

Indeed. Trump is in favor of the Obamacare mandate.

They were made for each other.

In all fairness, Marauder probably sees Donald as a Dim. If so, I can't really blame him

After all, he is a life long Dim and is arrogant and loud and obnoxious and thinks everyone should do and think as he does.

Anything that takes the cost of insurance off of big business and shifts it to the worker is good for Libtards and Conservatards, or as Michael Savage says: Republicrats.

I asked for the GOP plan Whodey...not Whodey's plan. I'm still waiting for an answer.

You'll wait in vain for whodey to ever give a substantive response.

Reagan a long time ago raged against Medicare as sure as ending "freedom" in the US.

It turns out that most people don't value the "freedom" to die of preventable diseases and treatable health conditions.

How "collectivist" of them.

Instead of the complicated monstrosity of Obamacare, wouldn't it have been much simpler to come up with a government run insurance company that operated at zero profit and took a few dollars a month out of our paychecks?
The Affordable Care Act ain't so affordable because we still have to sign up with private life sucking companies making billions off premiums.

It would have been much simpler and much cheaper, and most industrialized nations have something similar, but Obama did not have the political capital to pull it off.

If it were repealed, would not the system revert to what it was prior to passage? That seemed to work pretty well.

Yeah, it worked like a charm, it was only the least efficient health care system that covered the smallest part of the population of all rich industrialized nations.

So you say. I lived here all my life, have never been rich, and never had a gold plated UAW health plan, but have been relatively healthy, and never needed care that I couldn't get. All that without some over arching "plan" that made all my choices for me, or the illusion that it was all free.
