I have some questions for you.

1: What Obama provided is considered *proof of birthplace* for the US military, the FBI and the US State Department. Do you know something they don't?

2: Is it your position that the Republican appointed director of the Hawaii Health Department, and Hawaii Governor Linda Lindle (R), who endorsed John McCain, are lying about seeing the original?

3: How do you suppose the birth announcement of "Barack Hussein Obama" appeared in two local Hawaii newspapers right after Obama's birth in 1961?

Obama’s Birth Certificate, Forgery, Jay McKinnon admits forging, Obama Smears site, israel insider story, Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, Audacity of deception
    July 5, 2008 · 15 Comments

Many people for weeks, including myself, have been skeptical of the alleged Obama birth certificate presented on the internet. I have had to present certified copies of my birth certificate on several occasions and the certificate on the internet did not look official.

Why is this important? Obama has been elusive when asked for records in general. However, the big question is where was Obama born, Hawaii or Kenya. Obama may not be eligible to be president. The birth certificate on the internet was an attempt to put that issue to rest. The apparently fake certificate was even displayed on the Obama Fight the Smears website.

The israelinsider.com website has a new article out that announces that the Obama birth certificate is fake and reveals the forger. Here are some excerpts:

“Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fake Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same Daily Kos blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider’s revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the diligent detective work of independent investigative journalists (led by JimJ and Texas Darling) and imaging professionals such as Polarik in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate The Daily Kos, a “progressive” blog site, and the Obama campaign’s “Fight the Smears” website, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance. Moreover, the blog and the campaign have been negligent in allowing the promotion of obviously forged and fake official documents together with the purported image of Obama’s birth certificate.”

In response to the notion that Obama's grandparents might have planted a birth announcement in newspapers just so their grandson could some day be president, FactCheck suggested that "those who choose to go down that path should firs with a high-quality tinfoil hat. The evidence is clear: Barack Obama was born in the U.S.A.
i.e., wikipedia states "In response to the notion ...", but the people positing the notion are FactCheck themselves! (and USA-PT).

    1. if the short-form came under question, you'd expect those entities to dig further.

    2. who said they are lying? did anyone? the question is, why aren't they publishing the information on the original? how can it be verified if they don't?

    3. if he wasn't born in the U.S., you'd expect whoever arranged that he appeared to be born in the U.S. to also be capable of, willing to, and have a motive to also announce the fact, wouldn't you?

What? You mean that you DON'T concede that the laser-printed short form showed that Barak Obama was born in the U.S.A.?

What was posted was not a birth certificate, but something that resembles a "Certification of Live Birth" or COLB, which, even if authentic, does not prove "natural born" U.S. citizenship. In Hawaii, a Certification of Live Birth is issued within a year of a child's birth to those who register a birth abroad or one that takes place outside a hospital. An authentice Certificate of Live Birth would be issued to someone born within the state of Hawaii.

Wait a minute. So you're saying Obama was born outside the U.S.A. and was not elligible to stand for president?

1: Yes, but IF my aunt had balls she would be my uncle. The short form is NOT under question as it is accepted as proof of birthplace from every government entity that requires it. If THEY accept the short form, why don't you?

2: So when the Hawaii Health Dept director said, "“I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Hawai‛i State Department of Health, have seen the original vital
records maintained on file by the Hawai‘i State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama
was born in Hawai‘i and is a natural-born American citizen." was she, A: Lying? or B: Telling the Truth?

3: Why would they want to make it appear as if he was born in the US? To what benefit?

I am saying what I am saying.
All he has to do is show his birth certificate.
Its nonsense he does not have it. What is he trying to hide?

    More Citizenship Quibbles
Since our article about Barack Obama’s birth certificate came out in August, we’ve heard many frivolous claims, nutty theories and made-up facts advanced by a small clique of Obama deniers. It seems that every time a rumor is debunked, a new one crops up to take its place. Sometimes contradictory rumors even circulate simultaneously.

The most recent claim is that Obama’s short-form birth certificate is legitimate, but that it was made up after his birth in Kenya, due to a Hawaiian statute that allows children born outside the United States to obtain U.S. birth records if their parents had been legal residents of the state. The law stipulates:

Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child.

Unfortunately for the Obama deniers, that rule didn’t exist until 21 years after Obama’s birth. Janice Okubo at the Hawaii Department of Health told us that the law was enacted in 1982. She added, "Our current staff is not aware of any cases in which this law has been used."

This means Obama is either a natural born citizen or a time traveler. We can’t wait to debunk those e-mail rumors!

I'll address this point in isolation. Over the last 18 years of travelling and living around the world, I have lost count of the number of American friends who made the pretty arduous trip (fat tummy and all) back to the U.S. to ensure that their babies were born in the U.S.A. And I would say that couples where one was a non-American did so without fail. I cannot think of a couple who did not make the ambiguity-busting effort.
