What are your thoughts of public schools singing songs about Jesus at Christmas time at chore concerts?

I was at one last night and they sang about 3 of them.

I obviously was not at the concert and do not know exactly what they sang.
I have no problems with holiday songs or even Christmas songs but I am uncomfortable with singing specifically about Jesus in a public school.
Making it optional isn't sufficient. The sing process should not specifically endorse one religion.

I don't see why I should care about what kids sing about.

Because it essentially endorses one religion.

Lol, not excluding one world view is endorsing it. Nice.

A good reason to eliminate government schools, or to allow funding to follow children to non government schools, if parents so choose.

im happy for them to sing about jesus as long as they sing about other gods at significant holidays and!!! as long as children can opt out without the school being judgmental about the parents (or childs) beliefs. either we celebrate all religious holidays or none.

How will the poor get educated, without public schools? Or are you happy for not everyone to be educated, like Republican politicians, who are firing teachers and cutting education funding?

If they're optional, I don't see the problem.

That seems a little dramatic to me.

Are the kids forced to join the choir, or is membership optional?

Considering the state of many public school systems, I'm not sure they'd be faring any worse if there weren't public education.
