Why rap music is immoral.

"Achievement of your happiness is the only moral purpose of your life, and that happiness, not pain or mindless self-indulgence, is the proof of your moral integrity, since it is the proof and the result of your loyalty to the achievement of your values."
Ayn Rand

I started a thread sometime a go called "Quote War" There were plenty of quotable quotes from the freedom lovers but the lefties and control freaks didn't have anything, unless they started quoting their true heroes and that would reveal a bit too much. Generally they resorted to sniping from the side lines...

...attempted sniping that is.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.” -Alexis de Tocqueville

("Alexis-Charles-Henri Clérel de Tocqueville 29 July 1805–16 April 1859 was a French political thinker and historian, most famous for his work Democracy in America."-wiki/quote also attributed to Alexander Tytler- various sites)

”...The notion that there are geographical spaces with indigenous, radically “different” inhabitants who can be defined on the basis of some religion, culture, or racial essence is ... a highly debatable idea…. And yet despite its failures, its lamentable jargon, its scarcely concealed racism, its paper-thin intellectual apparatus, Orientalism flourishes today.”
From Edward Said, Orientalism (1978) [p322]
