Well that's where he ran off to after giving up America's secrets.
He's now asking China for help...
good luck to the traitor

It's possible, although it is also possible that anyone saying this is simply trying to spin the situation.

Even if he did this as part of China's plan, this does not negate what he released. It simply calls into question the timing.

The whole point about being a spy would be to not get caught, wouldn't it? It's really not fun being a convicted spy, or so I understand. On the prison food chain, they fall somewhere between rapists and child molesters.

Not really. The shelf life of a spy can be varied.
Some last only a few months while others may
be undetected for years. They all know this
and therefore usually have a plan of escape.

When they think that their cover is about to be blown
then they tell their handlers it's time to push the eject
button. The handling country usually has an escape
route already laid out if necessary. I've no idea if the
NSA suspected him but he ran anyway, before the story
broke.

You have to weigh up too what he left behind.
A girlfriend, family, a good job, over $200,000 a year.
A good life in Hawaii. All gone.

Well if he makes it out of there with all his body parts without revealing
anything, we can debate that.
