@philokalia saidYou're personalizing and insulting and as such I won't respond to this post any further.
I do not think that anything that I have said is erroneous. I did omit the "fact" (or whatever) that the Syrians rebelled against Assad, sure, but that's OK. I do not have such a burden.
It's in your nature, though, to always try to be the smartest guy in the room, so you felt the need to add to what I said and put it in a way that was hostile and antagonistic. ...[text shortened]... urse, ISIS is heading towards is conclusion and has been being slowly defeated for a very long time.
@no1marauder saidWe all saw you directly insult Metal Brain after you posted your guidelines.
You're personalizing and insulting and as such I won't respond to this post any further.
And these were real insults at his character.
Mine was just an attempt to get a read on you.
This would make you a bit of a hypocrite, right? And let's also remember that those direct insults to Metal Brain occurred within days of your righteous guideliens post.
For me... my first accusation of using insults and not abiding by your guidelines came, what is it now? Two months after the guidelines were posted?
I guess you could say that I have won the Marauder's Guidelines challenge being the last person to be accused of breaking them.

@wolfgang59 saidJust think, someday that whole region could be Putin's!
1. Can withdrawing from Syria be in the US interest?
2. Is Putin rubbing his hands with glee?
3. How confused are Israel?
and finally
Can POTUS unilaterally recall troops?
Enjoy!
@no1marauder saidDo you not think there is a moral obligation
How is how Turkey treats rebellious Kurds any affair of the US or any foreign government?
on all countries to help the weak in others?
Do you believe in Foreign Aid?
Do you believe in Charity?

@wolfgang59 saidHow many human beings are you willing to kill in order to make sure the Turks treat the Kurds in a manner you find satisfactory?

Yes to the last two questions (within reason of course).
@kquinn909 saidInteresting take.
Syrian uprising. BS. I smell the CIA. It all started over a pipepline thru Syria to which Assad said NO. Same as Afganistan. A pipline. And let's not forget the CIAs slush fund, the poppy fields. Same as Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia. Some thing never change.
I agree that just saying people rose up against Assad’s regime is too simplistic (someone was arming various groups of demonstrators), but I’ve not heard of this pipeline business (in Syria... Afghanistan yes).

@no1marauder saidI'll take your bait!

I believe that the saving of one life is worth many.
@wolfgang59 saidActually your post is non-responsive.

I believe that the saving of one life is worth many.
Western "humanitarian" interventions in the Middle East haven't done a great job of "saving lives". Libya is a bloody mess still and possibly a quarter million Iraqis died after the US "liberated" them.
The US isn't politically, legally or morally obligated to carve a Kurdish State out of Syria and protect it with a permanent military garrison. Such an action greatly increases the possibility of bloodshed rather than "saving lives".
