@wildgrass saidWhich individual falsely blamed dominion for trump's loss? Fox news is not a person, it is a corporation.
Why do you keep putting the word rigged in quotes?
The lawsuit alleged that Fox news intentionally and falsely blamed dominion for trump's loss, defaming the company. The company's reckless disregard about airing the fake info amounted to libel against dominion.
@wildgrass saidSo did Trump. Dominion did not sue him for defamation.

trump is a “politician” .
It’s very difficult to sue politicians, because of the law.
Or at least in Europe it is. I presume politicians in the US have similar protections, so they can be… politicians.
@shavixmir saidSo they sued Sydney Powell because she is not a politician? She was representing Trump. That sort of protection does not extend to his lawyer when legally challenging election results?

You think elected representatives of the people shouldn’t have an extra layer of protection (with exceptions for misconduct)?
Or that the civil service needs extra protective measures, so they can do their jobs correctly (obviously with exceptions for misconduct)?
@shavixmir saidThere seems to be a layer of protection against sexual misconduct. Is there a legal reason for that or do people just not believe rape allegations against famous politicians? Tara Reade would like to know.
No?
