What would the cost be changing every road, hwy, and interstate sign to metric along with every other thing that would have to be changed? Do you think this is necessary here to do this? What about the cost of supporting/taken advantage of in things like nato and many other causes around the world. Guess they can’t hack it.
Norway and Sweden switched from driving on the left to driving on the right on September 3, 1967. It wasn’t the end of civilization. America could have gone metric any time, and it would have been easier and cheaper last century. The advantages far outweigh the temporary jolt of the transition.
