He can't act? 😕

A Ian McKellen he is not, but he's still pretty good in my book.

WTF?! Now, I know that Tropic Thunder wasn't exactly Shakespeare... but DANG!!! That man gave the best $#%$#@# performance I've ever seen! Even though a lot of what was said in the film was in poor taste, and personally pissed me off, I can't deny that RDJr's acting was incredible. I grew up with a large number of older black men that were JUST like his portrayal. I even know a number of black men (and women) that have told me that he reminded them (visually, not just character-wise) of uncles or grandfathers. They wouldn't have known he WASN'T black (or recognized him at all) had they not known going in who was playing the part.

maybe his talents don't translate well to Americans. he's probably just about right for Europeans.

you're right there, but why can't he act when playing plain white people? instead of white people pretending to be black people?

did Tropic Thunder win any oscars? it should have! tom cruise gave a great performance, too.

Americans vs Europeans
white vs black people

How nice and tidy. Everything labeled and boxed up, just like grandma likes it.

I'd like to know how his date went with the champagne, the ecstacy, and the hot pepper.
