I agree that Billy got way to into himself at the end, but I'm suprised you find SD to not be a good album. Go back and listen to that thing from start to finish. To me, I hear the difference between it and everything garbage after like Infinite Sadness etc.

Can't place it but it sounds like everything after SD was the result of the studio turning their songs into radio friendly mass appeal revenue generators. I don't get the same edgy vibe. Maybe it's just because I hated that Rat in a cage song :>
