The original folk group who shook things up in the 50's and 60's only to get squashed by the McCarthy era. McCarthy couldn't stand uppity folk singers.....

Pete Seeger, Ronnie Gilbert, Fred Hellerman, Lee Hays. Only Fred and Ronnie are still alive, RIP.

The song Goodnight Irene, written by Huddie Ledbetter, the Weavers made into a #1 hit in 1951!

Ronnie Gilbert has a GREAT voice!
