How many clans can one join?

Also, do people find that there is a practical limit to number of concurrent clan memberships?

You can apply to join as many clans as you like but you have to be "accepted" by the clan leader before you can become a member.
Be aware there's a lot of inactive, or not very active clans so there's not much point in applying to join a clan that doesn't play much.
I suggest going onto the clans tab at the top of the page and then select "all clans".
This will show a net points list and you can be assured all the clans on the first page are quite active.
Regarding number of clans ,I've always found a maximum of 2 active clans is enough to get you plenty of action.

I remember when it was 3 but you had to be a Clan Leader to be on that 4th one.

The rules change, hard to keep up unless you flollow them. 😉

If you play for say clan A you can't play against other clans you are a member of.
So playing for lots of clans could limit the number of games you get
