Russ, congratulations on RHP's upcoming anniversary!
Really nice idea to acknowledge the site's veteran members.

Glad to see myself in at 44 on the list. I have never met Russ but I think I used to stay at a bed and breakfast next door to him in Newbury UK. I only knew this as a TV programme was filmed of selling the full contents of a house and in an article in the local newspaper it said he was concentrating on running his chesssite - RHP. This would be in about 2005

TV Programme was all actually initiated by a friend's wife (who was then assisted by my wife), but they used our garden as it was better for people to flow through. A little eye opener on the fakery of junk programming like that.

Originally posted by @mwmillerCar was sold. I couldn't justify keeping it as I had just resigned to focus more on RHP and wanted to release the cash. I was actually contracting back at my old employer at the time to assist with handover.

We will be 17 years old next month, and some of our players have been with us from the very start. To acknowledge the support of many long term players, an update to player profiles is currently being rolled out (website only) which will show how many consecutive years someone has been playing at RedHotPawn.
Thank you to you all for helping build the RHP community, particularly the 16 year (soon 17 year) veterans!

I’ve noticed that mine still says 9 years when I’ve been here over 10.
Originally posted by @russMy subscription was just renewed yesterday but my profile still says I've only been a continuous member for 12 years. When will it post the actual 13 years that I've been a continuous member. Thanks for your time Russ.
