The 5th of May is the anniversary of the Puebla battle, where the Mexican army defeated the French invaders (1862 - Surprising since the French army was larger and better equiped)... for some reason the date has become in the U.S. sort of a celebration of 'Mexican-hood' (sic)

Weird in MExico they cara a little about the Puepla battle, and here Mexicans celebrate more the May 5 instead of the Sep 16!!!!!!!!!!!
