Of course they could give him a contract like Ovechkin got (http://www.thestar.com/Sports/article/292946).

That's just ridiculous.
Rick DePietro
Mike Richards
Now Alexander Ovechkin

Which one do you think will have the longer career and will be worth the millions 10 to 15 years down the road?

You want the leafs to trade Sundin for Brind'amour?

Big game for the maple laughs tonight. My prediction of how things will unfold.

1. Coach fired
2. GM fired
3. Sundin traded
4. combination of steen/stajan/raycroft/antropov/kaberle traded
5. leafs miss playoff
6. Habs win cup 😉

Well, looks like I owe TheDude and apology. Despite Bowmann's early comments that he wasn't interested in taking control of the leafs, on Saturday night he comes out on national tv and says that in fact he was interested and Richard Peddie turned him down.

I have no explanation why Peddie would do this other than the fact he's a control freak who doesn't want to give up his power/prestige to a man that will clearly overshadow him.

Welcome to the new Ballard years leaf fans!
