The Niners offense isn't that week. They didn't put up big numbers throughout the season because they played seven top ten defenses.
The Giants defense is not a top ten defense.

The drops do cost you the game. They keep you out of rythym and if they were in rythym the Giants would have had to score more than they did which wasn't much ...[text shortened]... hotty GB defense was tired and demoralised because their offense couldn't generate anything.

7 of the points in the first half came from a hail mary that should have never been caught and most likely wouldn't have against the Niners.
The Giants just exposed the Packers defense. In the playoffs records don't matter if you don't have defense you don't win and the Niners have a ten times better defense than the Giants.

"Went wild" is hardly hyperbole.
If 32 points is "going wild" then the Niners offense must have went absolutely apesh**
No doubt the Giants played great D against a very strong offense. But while the Packers had one if the top offenses in the league this year, the Saints had one of the top in NFL history.

And the Saints averaged 27 PPG on the road and exceeded that against the 49ers. By contrast, the Pack averaged 40 PPG at home and scored half of that against Big Blue on Sunday.
Not even close which defense was more impressive last weekend.

BTW, I never tried to claim the Giants defensive performance wasn't better than the Niners last week. It most certainly was.
Now, are you going to credit the 49ers offense for going "even wilder!" on Saturday?
