1) It is supposed to occur within the lifetime of every generation since Christ's death. Needless to say the figure is constantly being readjusted.
2) This is a difficult one. I believe the Bible has the dead rising up to meet [Christ] in the clouds, but then every damn xian story (near death claims, apologist videos, Chick tracks) have the person facing God immediately after death.

I suppose there are as many answers as there are sects.

What are you asking about the 2nd coming, or judgment day?

Death from this life is sleep. When we awake, believers go to be with CHRIST. Un believers awaken in the place a judgement.

Death from this life is sleep.
I have to chuckle at the certainty of this pronouncement.

Does it matter?
What would matter is where ever you going when you die, that is
where you will end up. All chances to repent will have ended.

OK fine. Does the meeting between you and your Maker occur at the moment of your death or later, at Judgement Day?
