And that will, ultimately, leave you out in the cold. Their may very well be these 'intelligent agencies' but it is clear they don't want anything to do with humans. Probably more like, lets put a quarantine on these buggers, they are set to spread their cancer into interstellar space, SHUDDER to think.

That restriction goes back to a time when the relationship between science and the Church was being worked out, the iconic event being the Galileo trial.

A more precise term is methodological naturalists, meaning they follow the methodology of naturalism in their scientific work. However, a great many of these people are metaphysical supernaturalists, that is, theists, for example, Francis Collins, director of the US National Institutes of Health, is an evangelical Christian.

We have limited ourselves to the evidence, if at some point it is proven that intelligence is involved then so be it. Personally I would find that rather interesting.
OK I sat through 5 minutes then skipped through to see if anything made sense at all, but in the end the awful music got the better of my squinting at low resolution space gas which even with the annotations included looked like nothing to me, and I gave up.
Stuff like this makes me cringe with embarrassment; what is with weedy religious people who think Jesus lives in a sunbeam sprinkling stardust on bearded woolie-pulley types who wear open-toed sandals.
