We don't need to keep spewing carbon emissions into the atmosphere.
Speaking of which, what happened to the whole 'ozone hole' thing?
We also shouldn't need to farm so much meat that the cattle damage the atmosphere.
We have renewable, clean ways to live. Why persist in tempting fate?

No "old books" in Hinduism ?

Right, no "old books" in Hinduism.
    From Wiki - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanskrit

Sanskrit is a standardised dialect of Old Indo-Aryan, having originated in the 2nd millennium BCE as Vedic Sanskrit and tracing its linguistic ancestry back to Proto-Indo-Iranian and Proto-Indo-European.[9] As one of the oldest Indo-European languages for which substantial written documentation exists, ...

I really don't see old books as being a primary source of information. Sorry.

    Hmmm.
I'm a Hindu. I take my own senses as a primary source of information, and books and other people's testimony (and such) as a secondary source.

    Hmmmmm.

Do you think we are too late? I feel like a coward for dying before my great-grandkids get a shot. I'm worried we broke everything.

    No. No I don't.
I genuinely think that cleaning up our businesses - effectively and rigorously - will preserve our planet enough for future generations (and future technologies) , to stabilize the atmosphere.
However if we let the political pressure slip, and put this on the backburner then all sorts of other negative influences can disrupt this process ( 'clean' coal comes to mind )
I am also a proponent of nuclear in the short-mid term. A form of energy or government don't want to use for some reason.

We had the gold age and iron age ,etc.

This ( if a good number of people survive in 2 or so hundred years) , will be known as the 'oil-age'.

    Not at this rate?
Anyway , even if they do, do you really want to morph with the crap around you? Does this sound healthy?

    Spirituality, not Christianity.

Every thread you participate in gravitates towards Christianity.
This is a spiritual concern not a scientific one. The science is already there.
