But this is where it stops for you, sonhouse.
I understand your thinking. Now, what if the God who I believe in is REAL. He cares about everything we do. And i mean everything. Even how hard you sneezed, causing all around you to cover ...[text shortened]... i be so certain. I know who i am, sonhouse. And it is because of that, that i can be so certain.
Print this post out and keep it under your pillow.

Yes wolfie I haven't forgotten about you too. On the Great Day of the Lord, there will be something special for you. Oh, you'll know when the Day happens, don't worry.

You see, this is one of the dangers of religion. While you are kneeling
down and talking to yourself, asking for a relative to be cured or a
salary rise you are harmless. But when it gets to looking forward to
the end of the world people like you are DANGEROUS.

Wolfie, i don't look forward to "my time". But if you knew me, you'ld understand.

By the way, the end of the world and the Great Day of the Lord are two different things.

Originally posted by RJHinds I know God did not create the universe with an explosion. That is why I say the Big Bang Theory is incorrect. The Holy Bible does say God stretched out the heavens, so your expansion idea could fit into that explanation.
Well the bible does indeed state some things like God said " let there be Light and it was so" Imagine for a minute all of the whole universe being the size of a grape fruit !! at that point all of the energy / Space / time all contained within I'm sure it would be a ball of the most intense light ever seen. Many scientist believe at first it expanded at a rate faster than light. Anyway nothing about the big bang theory militates against the possibility of a creator and I think that is what the OP was about.

When God spoke things into existence, I doubt if He used the English language. He apparently used some type of genetic language in DNA to to create living things.

Geek moment: Reconsider. Any DNA sequence can be fully described in English, but there may be no word for some or any of the amino acids, in many other languages. I doubt that ancient Hebrew would work. More compact utterances do exist; but they depend on the English words for the amino acids. Besides, everybody knows that English is the lingua franca of heaven.🙂
