Tell me, have you ever read the Bible in its entirety, or did you find this selective quotation on an anti-Christian site?

I assume it was the latter. Perhaps if out good theologan could be bothered to discuss such passages in context we would have a real discussion.

Alas, as is all too common, we have a whole lot of 'one liners' our poster would like for us to take at face value without any contemplation towards the passage it was taken from. I am of firm belief that I could make as good/better arguement by taking similar one liners from various sources, like the declaration of independence, or perhaps 'Walden'.

Unsubstantiated 'one liners' appeal to the shallow.
Derision is the refuge of threatened ignorance.

Wait a minute… What was I saying about 'one liners'?

I was always impressed by the difference in God in the old testament,
and God in the new testiment. The OT God seemed warlike and vengeful. The NT God is more loving and forgiving.
This may explain why xians are more plentiful than jews.

My Sunday school teacher once told me that God was a psycho before he became a Christian.

It seems like the bible is open to interpretation. Why would a loving god make it such when we can end up spending an eternity in hell ?
