Longer length of profiles?

Could we be allowed longer profile as I have run out of space to put quotes? I don’t know much about making websites but I would expect this would be a simple change.

My technical language isn't good, but my explanation below may make some sense I hope.

1 extra profile letter = 1 bit

many extra profile letters = many bits

many extra profile letters for many profiles = many many bits

= more disc space required for RHP.

Speaking only to the technical specifics:

1 extra profile letter = at least 7 bits, and could be more depending upon the character encoding scheme in use

Well ok I wouldn't want to slow down the website, also I'm not sure how many people would use it so I don't think it would be a big problem.

Can this be compared to the posts on the forums, perhaps?
I read profiles too (and occasionally find them interesting too, even).

I agree, allowing more characters in the profile field would be great idea..atleast for subscribers if not for us non-subs

I would like to be able to have line breaks in profiles. I understand how people could abuse them to mess with the format of the profile page (making a profile so many lines long that it breaks the table) but I think with some tweaking (similar to how HTML strips out any excess spaces perhaps with some more checks [to stop .. etc.]).

I think you should get rid of all the profiles Ya'll lie any how.😛
