This stuff is a bit outside my field of interest, but I just wonder how that baby runs Call of Duty 4?

As to your thread, yea scientist have discovered in general that the number crunching capabilities of daisy chained PS3's are comparable to dedicated super computers.... And a lot cheaper....... this is due to their graphics processors which crunch billions of numbers to produce the pretty pictures....

Also another interesting point the Wii controller is being used to manipulate various equipment in experiments and such too... Since its a lot cheaper than a lab version of the same thing..... Bizarre

Well, if 16 guys played Call of Duty 4 on it then it would be about the same as any other set of 16 networked PlayStation 3s.
If however you tried to make them all run one session of Call of Duty 4 you would probably find it much slower due to bandwidth and latency issues.

If you want faster gaming, get a PC.
