Ok. Three students go to a shop to buy a tv. The price of the tv is £30, so each pays £10 to the man. The man realizes that the correct price was not £30 but £25. So he calls the students back to give them £5 back....but then he has an idea....rather than split £5 between 3 studes, he tells them that the actual price should have been £27, not £30 after all, so he gives them each £1 back from the £5, and places the remaining £2 in his own pocket. So the students have paid £27 in total. The man has £2. ...27 plus 2 equals 29.....so where has the missing £1 gone???

old one but... from £30, the shopkeeper pulls out £5 (such that for now the price paid is £25) he gives £3 quid back to the students and finally adds to the £25 his remaining £2...adding that £2 again is a play with the wording 😉 (they have effectively paid £25 between them and given him a £2 tip such that they each forked out £9)
