because if you look at geomitry from an impartial prespective, then the value of pi is abitrary, even random. the chances of it being anything we can name are infinity to one.
i know a guy that memorised pi to 30 decimal places becuase, when he was younger, he saw a Japanese TV show where contestants won £1000 (or whatever the japanese equivalent is) for reciting Pi to 30 decimal places.
