Many of you probably heard this but here it is anyway
You have a barrel of oil, and you need to measure out just one gallon. How do you do this if you only have a three-gallon container and a five-gallon container?
You could fill the 5, fill the 3, leaves two in the 5, then mark the halfway point and pour out till the halfway point is found, leaving one gallon in the 5 gallon container.

fill up the 3, pour it into the 5.
fill up the 3 again, pour all that will fit into the 5( ie 2 ), and your left with 1 gallon in the 3.

Throw the 3 gallon container away and fill the 5 gallon container 20%
