1. not sure of this, but think it's twice, and faster in cold than warm.

#2 is correct.
#3 was a misprint (it was supposed to be 'could not compete'π thanks fror bringing to my attention. It wasn't the Olympics. It was the 2003 female Gymnastic World Championships.
#1 Bonus was wrong. Since it's not cold water, it must be warm.
