I was PM'd about the term 'Family Fork' and had to cause to explain
it again a few days later.
The Family Fork is when a Knight forks a King, Queen and a Rook
Some claim it's when the Knight forks any 3 bits but I like
to include the King and Queen.
I pulled off a few of these in my time.
Getting the 'Aunties and Uncles' (my term) is when the Knight
forks a Queen and both Rooks.
This is a position from a game I'm going to show. I'm Black.
That's me spearing the Aunties and Uncles.
Quite rare, I've only got a couple of these on my CV.
How ever the fork that appeared when my opponent resigned
is one I had never seen before and doubt if I'll ever get it again.
I bet you are thinking I fork King, Queen and both Rooks.
No. I call this the 'Bishop's Hat-Trick' It's unique.
You join the game just as I win a piece.
