I was going to add this to the "most pleasing win" thread, but the whole enjoyment of this game stemmed from my opponent's brilliant attack. In the end it was in vain, but it took all of my ability and several hours of thinking to refute the attack.
    Enjoy

I enjoyed every minute of that. Hats off to SG

This game was basically over after 17.Kc1. Black just doesn't have enough compensation for all the sacrificed material and will end up just watching white develop the rest of his pieces and shore up his position. I think the whole plan starting with ...Nd5 is unsound now, but during the game I just had to try it and see what happened.

...fxg6 at the end would have only lost more slowly. It was time to resign in any case. Good game!

Have you looked at other games your opponent has played to see if that sort of wild & wooly style is typical of him/her?

SG, if this is how you normally play, I can't wait to play you. Very unorthodox and creative play.

    Good stuff morgski and SG.

You always get interesting and clean games v SG.
I recall him whacking one of my Latvians but I got him back
with a delayed Marshall Gambit. And we a few hairy Pircs.

But I got that beat. Wait till you see the game I am going to post later
    on tonight.

I've been saccing on nearly every board in my 50 board simul.
Score so far. W.26 D2. L3 (a few more losses on the horizion. I've dropped
two Rooks to me getting checked (one is real lemon. I actually saw it! 🙂)
Playing far too fast in some games, wanting to get back around to the the last
game I set a trap in. One I spun around the other.....

Here is a nice game. It was my 199th win on RHP.
(and my 200th win I am going to post in a new thread for a celebration.) 🙂

No, I'm not giving you two pieces by move 14. 🙂

In an odd sort of way, so was I. I obviously wanted to refute it as best I could, but the attack was so innovative I really wanted it succeed too 🙂

Black could have sac knight in other way simply continuing development with 12...Nc6. After 13.exf6 exf6 Black has dangerous initiative and Houdini obviously prefers Black position.

I don't see trouble for black on this position after 12.e5
    instead of the pointless 12..Nd5,
black should play the obvious 12..Be6! refuting white's unsound attack.
