Yes, I use it in blitz games on FICS, I know the lines a little better than my opponents so I always end up with a time advantage. I don't use it in correspondence because I feel it doesn't offer as big an advantage as other slower openings if your opponent plays carefully.

    ....what the hell happened??

Nh7 isn't going to win the game but it is sure as hell better than what black played.....

as For Kings Gambit I searched 404 standard games I have at FICS -
only 5 were Kings Gambit - so, needless to say, I rarely Play, or Play against it...

The reason why nobody ever tried the King's Gambit against Fischer after that famous game against Spassky could possibly have something to do with the fact that Fischer hardly ever opened 1...e5 again after this game! The Fischer Defence (3...d6), although perfectly playable, is most certainly not a refutation of the King's Gambit. The most critical line is almost certainly 3...g5.

^ it appears that your first claim is right.....It seems fischer favorite response was c5, 116, over 9....

As for the secound part about critical lines, yada, yada-- I hardly play or play against the opening, let alone study it (I just stumbled across that article and happen to read it one day)-- so, I really can't offer any affirmation or arguement about whats better -- g5, or d6
