The general theme of the thread is correct.

The stonger OTB players do clean up at the blitz tournaments.
The Chess is Chess statement is correct.

I won a few OTB blitz tournaments in my time and once every few weeks
spend a whole day blitzing with an IM friend of mine.
I give as good as I get though he wins the most.

The difference I've found on net blitz is the physical act of moving the pieces.
I'd be OK if I could shout out the moves. I see all the good stuff quickly enough
but am so slow in getting the mouse to lift the piece and move it.
A large portion of my losses are lost on time in good/winning positions
    or clumsy mouse slips.
Consequently I think I have won about 3 games at bullet chess and lost dozens.
I never play bullet these days. You need to be reasonable at chess (I have that box ticked)
but also have the re-actions of a fighter pilot. (not ticked.)

I only played a couple blitz games on RHP, but I did not remember that you do not have to click "Enter" after your move like the regular chess on here.
