If your opponents are playing 3...Qd8 you should just enjoy your lead in development. d4,Bc4,Nf3 normal moves will get you a more than comfortable game.

The traditional response to Nc3 is Qa5, but I've seen some Qd7 threads around too.

3. ...Qd6 seems to be a modern popular line, and one that's actually not half bad, if very awkward looking.

3...Qa5 or 3...Qd6 seem to be much more common for me in blitz than 3...Qd8.

Ive been playing guys who answer e4 with d5 all morning and strangly enough all the games i played went exactly like this. (even stranger - i won all the games!-very strange indeed! )
