Of course it can happen to everyone. And everytime it happens, they can just shake their heads and say "Why did I blow this up so easily..."
If one of us had black pieces against Anand then it would be normal to lose so quickly (ie. from the position right before whites Ne6 trick). But Carlsen is 2700-rated player.

To compare with Svidlers loses in Wijk-an-Zee 2007 (especially against Navarra) it doesnt look so bad. And Svidler is 2700 rated too.

im hoping for Carlsen to take it.
See the GM's analysing their games on chessvibes.com
I really liked the Morozevich-Leko movie,
On the site is also a video of the game Smeets-Kramnik from this week's team games in Holland

And btw. I am not envious, I am just realistic...in a positive way 😀
In your previous posts, you have been shown your attitude against Carlsen clear enough. And I dont know how to describe it more precise. Todays game Carlsen - Ivanchuk is nice proof about how realistic you are in your prognoses.

I am just saying Carlsen's opponents have played pretty badly against him. Like Topalov-Carlsen was the craziest one as Topo missed clear draw. Carlsen was lucky there, no doubt.
