I've also noticed that coat hangers when left alone in a cupboard, breed!
Normally I get socks that are all the same, but not long ago I purchased a set of black socks where every pair had a lining in a different colour.
I've noticed I now have exactly 1 of each colour.
Is this some aspect of quantum physics that says that pairs of socks are unstable and eventually one of the socks will vanish into nothingness, leaving the single sock as a stable entity?
And is this related the phenomena whereby every chess set left overnight at a chess club will acquire an extra piece?
