It is nice to see that things have been made right in the clan feature.
It was unfortunate that a few individuals suffering from chronic malcontent nearly ruined this feature.
I am convinced that these few individuals bring their malaise of perceived injustice into this site from outside.
Which is too bad.
We all acknowledge that this feature being informal in nature isn't perfect and does require to run on the honor system.
We also appreciate Russ' efforts to improve the feature.
I understand that Russ has spent considerable time and effort to come up with a new scoring system that didn't quite take.
Hopefully, in future, some of the suggestions put forth in the site ideas can be revisited without any attempts to hijack the process to meet the agenda of a few malcontents.
Finally, I do not completely understand the methodology used by site to recalculate the clan tables for 2016.
But I feel that the 3rd and 4th place clans (and others) deserved a better fate in the final tally of the 2016 clan table.
Being a member of Metallica, I am pleased with the result, even if tempered by the fiasco of 2016.
I now look forward to the competitive season underway in 2017.
